And what the hell is up with it displaying colours differently?! It does fine if you put a colour code in CSS or even in plain HTML, but whenever you put up an image it screws up, making the actual visual rendering much darker than it ought to be. Making an image with RGB{ 128,0,128 } (just to give a random example) somehow manages to show up darker than assigning the EXACT SAME colour code to an HTML element Why?! Is the code any different? No its not!
There are many more problems than just this, and not all of them deal with just a few pixels or colour shades of deviation. Oh no, some of them distort the ENTIRE PAGE.
For example, when creating a page using relative sizes instead of absolute, IE takes the value 100% as being 100% of the full screen width/height, instead of 100% of the containing element WTF? If I wanted that, I wouldnt have nested it in a separate element, would I? The result is that a page that would normally show up to fill the screen, suddenly either expands well beyond it, causing side-scroll, or places the separate elements below one another instead of next to each other!
God, someone needs to go over there and shoot whoever wrote this crappy thing
In any case, this means that if you want your website to be shown properly on more than one browser (so not just Internet Exploder) then you cannot use padding, you cannot use borders, you cannot implement images within your background unless it IS the background, and you cannot use relative sizes so you MUST resort to pixels, centimetres or inches - which in turn screws up compatibility with the extremely varying resolutions people use nowadays.
